Sad Existence for "Beautiful Life"

It looks like Mischa Barton has a reason to be sad. The former O.C. actress is out of work.

HitFix is reporting that The CW has officially pulled the plug on The Beautiful Life. The show created by Ashton Kutcher and Adam Giaudrone only saw the light of day twice.

Apparently, that was enough. Viewers didn't seem to care much about the life of models off the runway and Tuesday's audience dropped to 1 million viewers. Aside from Barton, the one-hour drama also starred Corbin Bleu and Elle McPherson.

The CW has no plans to spend another minute on The Beautiful Life. Production was shut down and no additional episodes will air. Until further notice, the network will fill TBL's timeslot with Melrose Place. -- Rachel Cericola
