Megan Hauserman may have found her millionaire. However, you may never find out who the reality star chose to be her suitor.
VH1 just announced that they are putting Hauser's show, "Megan Wants A Millionaire," on hiatus. Believe it or not, it's not due to low ratings. Instead, it's because one of the show's contestants, Ryan Jenkins, has been named a "person of interest" in a murder case.
Police are seeking Jenkins in connection with the murder of his wife, Jasmine Fiore. According to Examiner.com, Jenkins reported his wife missing on Saturday night. Her body was discovered stuffed in a suitcase. Police think Jenkins could be heading to Canada.
Jenkins met Fiore shortly after being eliminated from the reality show. The two were married two days later. That marriage was annulled within weeks.
Think it's time to get tough with the screening process for reality shows? Obviously, not everyone is a psycho. Still, Jenkins was convicted in 2007 of assault on a former girlfriend. That sounds like a good red flag for a dating show.
VH1 has pulled the show from its website and currently does not have plans to air the rest of the series. Web rumors say that not only did Jenkins make it to the final two, but he went on to win VH1's third installment of the "greatest hits" competition, "I Love Money." -- Rachel Cericola
A different type of network would have used this to its advantage. Gotta give VH1 some credit (I guess ...)
