Tons of TV Coming to DVD

ABC will soon crank out a ton of new DVDs. Most have release dates for the end of the summer. Maybe you could be spared from the last reruns of the season. Here are titles and dates:

  • Scrubs: The Complete Eighth Season - 8/25/09
  • Greek: Chapter Three - 8/18/09
  • Dirty Sexy Money: The Complete Second and Final Season - 8/18/09
  • Eli Stone: The Complete Second and Final Season DVD - 8/18/09
  • Samantha Who? - The Complete Second and Final Season - 8/25

Of course, the first two should give you a chance to catch up. "Greek" comes back to ABC Family on August 31. "Scrubs" will start its first Zach Braff-less season on ABC in 2010.

The other three, "Dirty Sexy Money," "Eli Stone" and "Samantha Who?," have all been cancelled. Thankfully, ABC has included a few extras on each for those aching fans.

Dirty Sexy Money: The Complete Second and Final Season will include bloopers, deleted scenes, a short on Craft Services, a director's diary, and a piece on Natalie Zea (Karen Darling).

Eli Stone: The Complete Second and Final Season has a look at the dance numbers, a behind-the-scenes featurette from two points of view, deleted scenes and bloopers.

Last, but certainly not least, the critically acclaimed Samantha Who? will come out with its Complete Second and Final Season DVD. The extras on that release will include deleted scenes and bloopers, a set tour with Christina Applegate and a chat with Applegate, Jennifer Esposito and Melissa McCarthy. There's also something called "Christina Dance Moment," where Applegate shows off some of her not-so-killer moves.

All five sets will have the suggested retail price of $39.99 each. -- Rachel Cericola
