Never say never.
Six years after Fox canned "Futurama," the cartoon has been picked up by Comedy Central.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the cable network has ordered 26 new episodes of Matt Groening and David X. Cohen's animated series. The show appears to be following in the footsteps of "Family Guy," which was brought back to life after strong DVD sales.
The show's most recent (and supposedly last) DVD release was "Into the Wild Green Yonder."
No deals have been made, but the network is expecting all of the voice talent to return. Expect the new episodes of "Futurama" to begin airing on Comedy Central in 2010. -- Rachel Cericola
