A&E Cancels Swayze!

It seems that A&E cannot calm "The Beast" -- or renew it.

Talk about kicking a man when he's down. After months of hearing about how star Patrick Swayze has been at death's door, the network decided not to order additional episodes of his drama.

Swayze starred as a rogue Chicago cop. However, the drama didn't get half of the publicity and well wishes that the actor has -- since announcing his battle with pancreatic cancer.

According to The Associated Press, "The Beast" has averaged about 1.3 million viewers since it debuted in January. -- Rachel Cericola
