HBO Hot for Chili Pepper's Show

Anthony-Kiedis.jpg"Californication," part 2? Not quite, but HBO is very interested in bringing the story of Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis to the small screen.

Variety says that John Sayles ("Lone Star," "Honeydripper") has been tapped to write up a show based on the singer's autobiography. The drama is tentatively titled "Scar Tissue."

In 2004, Kiedis released his bio under the same name. The show will focus on the rocker's earlier years, as well as his relationship with his father, Spider, who sold drugs to the stars.

There's no word on who will star or when the show is expected to hit the network. -- Rachel Cericola
