Will John Mayer Make TV Magic?

If you've ever seen John Mayer's work on "Chappelle's Show" (or TMZ), you'd know he's kind of a funny guy. CBS thinks so too.

According to Billboard, the network is trying to put together a variety show for the singer. We're hoping it's more Chappelle than Rosie, but the project would definitely include music -- we're just not sure what else.

The deal is not done just yet. In the meantime, Mayer is supposed to be working on a new album. His last release was 2006's "Continuum." -- Rachel Cericola
