Melissa George Out of "Grey's Anatomy"

During last night's post-Golden Globes coverage, Melissa George seemed all smiles when asked about "Grey's Anatomy" -- very tight-lipped smiles. It wasn't the cocktails, after all. Maybe George didn't want to leak the news that she is leaving the show.

Well, she did spill the beans... to EW's Michael Ausiello. Today, sources have also confirmed the news. George was originally contracted for four episodes, but received double that order.

George's Sadie was a fast fan favorite. However, there are no hard feelings, and the actress is interested in moving on to other things. George was recently a major player on the HBO drama, "In Treatment," which scored her a Golden Globe nomination.

"Grey's Anatomy" airs every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. (EST) on ABC. -- Rachel Cericola
