This March, ABC plans to mix things up on Thursday nights.
According to the TV Squad, the network is going to pull "Ugly Betty" to make way for a few of its other comedies. Not to fear, "Betty" will be back at some point.
The plan includes putting "Samantha Who?" into the Thursday slot for a while. The new sitcom "In the Motherhood," which has Megan Mullally and Cheryl Hines, will follow at 8:30.
The Christina Applegate comedy was originally supposed to resume this month. However, ABC thought it would be better to wait until they had a better spot for it. How is pitting it against "Survivor" better?
Expect the two comedies to start March 26 at 8:00 p.m. (EST).
In case you aren't confused enough, ABC is also moving "Scrubs" to Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. That will serve as the lead in to another new comedy, "Better Off Ted." That new timeslot will start on March 18.
Shifting the schedule doesn't make things better, people. Are you sad about "Betty?" Will you follow your favorite shows? Sound off in the comments section below. -- Rachel Cericola
So ABC's Program and Scheduling chief has obviously suffered a traumatic head injury as s/he is pulling "an NBC." Bottom line: the changes make no sense, viewers are not taken into consideration and the results will be negative.
Is there anyone with a real working brain left in network television?
