Adam Carolla can't seem to get a break.
His "Man Show" cohort, Jimmy Kimmel, has become ABC's go-to guy for awards shows and late-night slots. Carolla, however, just found out that NBC will not be picking up his version of the BBC show "Top Gear."
The show was originally scheduled as a mid-season replacement for 2009. Aside from the obvious budget cuts, the TV Squad says that you can also blame the bombing of "Knight Rider" for this one. Not sure if that's funny or sad.
Not that it matters, but Eric Stromer ("Three Wishes") and stunt driver Tanner Foust were also scheduled to star. -- Rachel Cericola
