It looks like ratings were actually Christian Slater's enemy. The actor's anticipated action drama "My Own Worst Enemy" has been cancelled, along with the Brooke Shields dramedy "Lipstick Jungle."
According to Cinema Blend, both series had recently hit rating lows. There's no official word, but NBC could let both shows run out instead of pulling them immediately. "My Own Worst Enemy" had been contracted for nine episodes, while the second season of "Lipstick Jungle" was set for 13.
"Enemy" had Slater starring as a man with two identities and lives. Shields headed up a stylish "Sex in the City"-ish quartet. The show premiered at the same time as ABC's extremely similar "Cashmere Mafia," which was pulled last season.
For now, "My Own Worst Enemy" still has its Monday 10:00 p.m. (EST) timeslot. "Lipstick Jungle" is still slotted for Fridays at the same time. -- Rachel Cericola
Why comment, the just keep taking all the good shows off, we know that by now. Unless it is hospital or crime related the networks aren't interested. Don't worry about the rest of the population! and what ever happened to half hour family comedies, are they not allowed anymore??
So why watch tv at all..
This show was nothing more than a bad rework of Desparate Housewives only sluttyer.
