FX wants to extend the ride for "Sons of Anarchy."
The network just announced that it has picked up the motorcycle-club drama for a second season. According to TV Week, the show is the most consistent first-year performer for FX since "Rescue Me."
The dramedy focuses on one motorcycle club's intent on protecting their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California from drug dealers and local corporate developers. It stars Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman. Segal's husband, Kurt Sutter, is the show's creator and executive producer.
"Sons of Anarchy" airs Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on FX. -- Rachel Cericola
