Jordana Spiro and her "Boys" will be back for a third season.
TBS just announced that they will pick up their sitcom, "My Boys," for another round. The next season, which will start in early 2009, will have a total of nine episodes.
"This past summer, 'My Boys' continued to catch on with audiences and critics," said Michael Wright, senior VP in charge of the Content Creation Group for TBS, TNT and TCM. "It's that truly rare television combination of a talented cast with great chemistry, extremely smart and funny writing and outstanding production. 'My Boys' is a quality show with a quality audience that continues to make the case that Turner is a true broadcast substitute."
Spiro stars as a sportswriter looking for love, while surrounded by an unusually large group of male friends. Jim Gaffigan, Kyle Howard, Reid Scott, Michael Bunin, Jamie Kaler and Kellee Stewart also star.
"My Boys" first premiered in November 2006. According to TBS, the audience grew 14 percent from seasons 1 to 2. The second season concluded this past summer, with Spiro's PJ realizing that one of her crew (who just happens to be getting married) might be more than just a friend. -- Rachel Cericola
