Once viewers took a big bite of HBO's "True Blood," the cable network locked the show up for a second season.
After just two episodes, HBO signed the freshman vampire series for another season, according to MovieWeb. The show, which just recently debuted, showed a dramatic increase of 24 percent in viewership from the first to second episodes.
The show stars Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress who can read minds, all those except for a vampire named Bill (played by Stephen Moyer) who waltzes into her diner. It's based on the novels of Charlaine Harris and is produced by Alan Ball. -Chris Sardelli
