Anthony Edwards Back on "E.R.??"

aedwards.jpgWhen I read TV Guide's Will Keck reporting that Anthony Edwards would be appearing on the upcoming season of "E.R.," I needed to double-check what year it was.

That's right, kids. Producers may not have scored a George Clooney guest spot (yet!), but they are asking Mark Greene to make an appearance. In case you didn't know, Dr. Greene has been dead for about six years now. Hey, it's the last season -- anything goes!

Seriously though, don't expect the character to scrub in for surgery. Greene will appear in flashbacks for new cast member Angela Bassett. Apparently she was a former patient.

Edwards isn't the only one coming back to County General for a last hurrah. Noah Wyle has signed up for a few episodes as well. I've said it once and I will say it again: Bring back Benton!

The Edwards episode will air on November 13. The 15th and final season of "E.R." will premiere on Thursday, September 25 on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola
