Life just became more fun for teens heading to college this fall, as Fox plans to debut online content aimed squarely at them.
According to MovieWeb, when "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" and "Fringe" debut their season premieres this fall, Fox will also be unrolling those same premieres online simultaneously. Called "simul-streams," the shows will be available to watch online at the same time as their network television debuts. In addition, the online airings will also include behind-the-scenes footage and music videos.
But before you fanboys start salivating about the prospect of watching exclusive interviews with "Terminator" star Summer Glau, there's a catch: the content will only be available to students on college campuses using an internet connection that has a college internet domain (.edu). Guess that means everyone else will have to wait for the DVDs.
Fox will air "Terminator" on Monday, September 8 at 8 p.m., followed by the debut of J.J. Abrams' "Fringe" on Tuesday, September 9 at 8 p.m. --Chris Sardelli
