Michael J. Fox Coming Back to TV?

Michael J. Fox may be joining the "Rescue Me" gang for a few episodes next season. It's not exactly a done-deal, but IGN says that Fox will play a love interest for Janet (Andrea Roth), Tommy's (Dennis Leary) sometimes-ex.

Fox has had his share of TV appearances, since leaving "Spin City" in 2001. He has appeared on NBC's "Scrubs" and ABC's "Boston Legal," which scored him an Emmy nod.

The actor is a longtime friend of "Rescue Me" star Denis Leary. In fact, I recall seeing the two team up for a charity hockey game a few years back.

The fifth season of "Rescue Me" premieres in 2009 on FX. -- Rachel Cericola
