"Betty" Loses a Beau

For those wondering who Betty called at the end of last season's "Ugly Betty" cliffhanger... well, it probably wasn't Henry.

Christopher Gorham has apparently left the series. Why would he leave a surefire hit? The Hollywood Reporter says that he has instead signed on to star in the CBS drama "Harper's Island."

"Harper's Island" will be a midseason replacement. Gorham stars as a groom getting married on a small island off Seattle. Since he's the groom, we're guessing he isn't one of the island's wedding guests that ends up dead.

Now Gio fans shouldn't get too excited either. It seems that Freddy Rodriguez, who plays Betty's other possible suitor, has a lot going on, and isn't expected to appear in too many episodes next season.

Don't be too sad for Betty, though. Val Emmich ("Cashmere Mafia") has just been cast in a hunky recurring role.

The third season of "Ugly Betty" will premiere this fall on ABC. -- Rachel Cericola
