trussert.jpgTom Brokaw just broke into the news on MSNBC to report that Tim Russert has died. He was 58.

Russert was the Washington bureau chief for NBC News, as well as moderator for "Meet the Press."

"This news division will not be the same without his strong, clear voice," Brokaw said.

According to MSNBC, Russert had received countless awards, as well as an Emmy and 48 honorary doctorates. He also wrote two best-selling books, "Big Russ and Me" and "Wisdom of Our Fathers."

Russert is survived by his wife and one son. -- Rachel Cericola
