Jason Schwartzman is heading to the small screen. The Hollywood Reporter says that the actor has been cast in the HBO comedy "Bored to Death."
Schwartzman will play a thirty-something alcoholic writer living in Brooklyn. Although that doesn't sound all that funny, the twist of having him pretend to be a private detective makes things a bit more interesting. Hopefully it won't go the way of "Andy Barker, P.I."
If so, Schwartzman still has plenty to fall back on. He is currently working on "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "The Marc Pease Experience." He has also been cast in Judd Apatow's "Funny People," opposite Adam Sandler, Seth Rogan and Eric Bana.
