"Dirt" Gets Cancelled

ccox.jpgIt looks like "Dirt" is done.

The Courteney Cox drama has been cancelled after two seasons. The show was sort of a "Law & Order" for the Hollywood scene, taking most of its stories from actual tabloids. Cox starred as Lucy Spiller, editor of the fictional tabloid "Dirt Now."

Hollyscoop says that the controversial drama was doomed thanks to the writer's strike. Cox says that she is already working on other projects, with her husband David Arquette.

There's no word on whether any remaining episodes might air. "Dirt" usually runs on Sundays at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on FX. -- Rachel Cericola
