Dick Martin Dies

Say goodnight, Dick.

That was the typical send-off for the 1960s variety show "Laugh-In." However, we say goodnight this last time with sadness; Dick Martin has passed away at the age of 86.

According to Reuters, Martin died from respiratory complications on Saturday.

He was best known as the funnier half of the "Laugh-In" hosting duo, which included straight man Dan Rowan. Rowan passed in 1987.

Martin went on to guest star in a variety of TV staples, including "The Love Boat," "3rd Rock from the Sun" and "Diagnosis Murder."

He is survived by his wife Dolly Read (who he divorced in 1975, only to remarry in 1978), as well as two sons. -- Rachel Cericola
