CBS Cancels "Shark," "Moonlight"

moonlight.jpgWill CBS soon see a bloodbath?

As rumored, the network brought the axe down on cult hit "Moonlight." They can commiserate with the cast from "Shark" -- they bit it as well.

From the mind of "The Matrix" (well... one of its producers), "Moonlight" focuses on the story of a vampire P.I. who has a penchant for helping the living versus feeding off them.

"Shark" stars James Woods as a celebrity DA leading a crew of young lawyers. The show is currently airing its second season.

Zap2it says
that "Moonlight" fans already had a blood drive to show dedication. Apparently, it did not sway the network's decision. Maybe they learned a lesson from "Jericho."

New episodes of "Moonlight" (Friday) and "Shark" (Tuesday) are still currently on the CBS schedule. -- Rachel Cericola

Learned from Jericho? Hardly. CBS may have brought Jericho back, but they did their absolute best to crush it once they did. Bad time slot, lousy promotion, and just over all treated the show like garbage.

The Moonlight fans are not stopping because CBS made this childish little decision to fill their line-up with drivel loaded comedies that only serve to dumb down America. The fans have packed their bags and are more than willing to move to another network. CW has expressed and interest so we are starting there, but if this doesn't pan out then we keep looking.

I watch both of these shows! Man the networks continue to disappoint me.

I don't understand the Moonlight decision at all. With "Twilight" the movie and all the hype around the book series still very much happening, why wouldn't they keep it around for the millions of people who are into this kind of thing?

head-scratcher

its no wonder david letterman has a knock on cbs all the time always cancelling the good shows and keeping junk even with Cane, Moonlight, and Shark are a few samples than you keep shows like Big Brother and BB9 had to be the worst season ever with a bunch of early 20 year olds who were so rude and acted like they has no class or respect for themselves or any body else you need to get back to good family shows if this country is going to get back on its feet and why all the people leaving all the CSI show pay them other actor not worth a damn get more money and they stink as actors CBS used to be a great station to watch but keep taking good show off and watch your rating come down

How in the world could you cancel Shark,
it is one of the best shows on TV.James
Woods is in a class all his own.
Should have advertised more. The whole cast is great, and the relationship of Shark with his daughter is wonderful.
Our whole family is very upset.
Please consider your decision.

CBS on Friday nights was it for me. Starting at 7pm I stopped everything to sit in front of my tube. I even moved dinner up an hour. I gave up The Adventures of Sarah Jane and Dr. Who on SciFi for Ghost Whisperer and Moonlight. OK, so there is a cheat with Dr. Who. I get to catch him at 10p. What do viewers have to do to keep a good show on? Who do I have to kill to get Moonlight back? Point um out to me!

CBS IS LOSING ITS MINDS. THOSE PEOPLE WITH THOSE MINDS NEED TO BE CANCELLED ALSO AND SOME NEW PEOPLE WITH MINDS NEEDS TO BE HIRED TO WORK. I loved Moonlight! The story lines were awsome! The CBS network people are such jerks for giving it the axe. I think the cast was great! Im hoping the CW wil pick it up.

How can you cancel these shows! I love Moonlight! I love watching Nick,he's soooo handsome! Please put these shows back on-Moonlight, Shark, and Jericho. James Wood is an excellent actor, and I love watching him every Sunday.I don't know why it was moved from a Sunday to Tuesday's. I enjoy watching Moonlight on Friday's after Ghost Whisper. It was a good line up. I enjoyed watching my favorite shows on the days assigned. Please put these shows back on the regular programming days! I want to see Nick again!

I love Moonlight and Shark. I hope they reinstate them for people that HATE those idiotic reality shows-I NEVER watch them, I even flip the channel if there's an advertisement about them. I (also) hope that another station picks up these two wonderful shows!
