NBC to Show "Howie Do It"

deal.jpgHi Howeeeee...

In case you don't get enough of the 80 times a week NBC shows "Deal or No Deal," the network has signed another contract with the comedian/game show host -- and he didn't have to slap a flashing red button to get the deal done.

Variety says Mandel will star in and executive produce "Howie Do It," an unscripted comedy that sounds painfully similar to his last non-game-show venture, "Hidden Howie."

"America loves Howie and we're so lucky to have another great show that will showcase his unique signature humor," said Craig Plestis, executive VP of Alternative Programming, Development and Specials for NBC.

NBC has ordered multiple episodes of "Howie Do It." However, there's no word on when it might premiere. -- Rachel Cericola

The latest show's Mintensity gag was not a gag. It was not a prank. It was simply disgusting. This is not how we do it, Howie.

I pulled a GREAT prank on my son who was a graduating senior in high school at the time. When he went through Elementary School, he checked out three library books that had never been returned. I used to tease him over the years he was going through school that if he continued to hold onto these books he would someday inherit an astronomical fine. In his senior year, all seniors received a notice that they clear up any outstanding fines they may have acquired over the years or they would not be able to graduate. So I took the opportunity to mail him a letter using the high schools letterhead (making it look totally official) listing the three books titles and authors and calculating a fine based on five cents a day from the date the books should have been returned until the present. The fine totaled thousands of dollars with an explanation the fine must be paid before he would be allowed to graduate. The look on his face as he read and brought me this letter was a prank that will always be a source of great humor to look back on and the best prank I was ever able to pull off on him.
