John Michael Higgins In for "Kath & Kim"

John Michael Higgins is the latest to be added to the cast list of "Kath & Kim," NBC's new sitcom starring Molly Shannon and Selma Blair.

Higgins has been a major scene-stealer in endeavors such as "Best in Show," "Arrested Development," "The Break-Up," and "Fred Claus" He was scheduled to star in the next Mitch Hurwitz ("Arrested Development") project, "The Thick of It," but the pilot was never picked up.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Higgins will star as a significant other, along with Mikey Day.

"Kath & Kim" is scheduled to premiere this fall, and will air Tuesdays on NBC. -- Rachel Cericola
