Fox Orders "Bad Dads"

"America's Most Wanted" has been so successful over the years, so can Fox use its superpowers to track down deadbeat dads?

That's the idea behind "Bad Dads," a new show looking for dads that owe delinquent child support payments. Reuters says that Jim Durham, director of the National Child Support Center, will fill the "Dog the Bounty Hunter" role. Hopefully he's a better dresser.

Expect each episode to include plenty of heartache and most likely, an ambush -- a la "Cheaters" -- and we know how well those usually go over.

"(Durham) calls them on the phone and gives them the chance to do the right thing," said executive producer JD Roth. "Of course, those calls are never met with anything but yelling. Then he goes into their life, finds out what kind of assets they have and makes their lives miserable -- foreclose on their house, repossess their car. He will squeeze them until the women get paid."

It has to be nobler than "The Moment of Truth," right?

Right now, Fox has just ordered a pilot. There's no word on whether or not "Bad Dads" will be part of the fall 2008 lineup. -- Rachel Cericola
