First Actor Signed to “90210” Spin-off

Anxious to get its “Beverly Hills, 90210” spin-off into production, The CW has already cast its first actor for the show.

Entertainment Weekly reports that actor Dustin Milligan will join the cast. No stranger to teen-centric projects, Milligan has starred in “Final Destination 3,” as well as TV shows like “Supernatural” and the short-lived CW show “Runaway.” Last year he also starred in the movie “The Messengers.” For “90210,” he will fill the role of friendly athlete Ethan, whose character will eventually meet up with the core group of teens.

Helmed by writer/executive producer Rob Thomas (the guy responsible for “Veronica Mars”), the show will revolve around one central family much like the original “90210” did. According to EW, the plot will focus on the Mills clan, made up of an alcoholic grandmother, her son, his Olympic athlete wife and their two teenage children. –Chris Sardelli
