Allison Dubois has learned to use her psychic abilities to cope with ghosts, serial killers and all kinds of bad guys on "Medium." But starting in April, it's Kelly Preston's turn to bring some turmoil to the Dubois house.
The actress has signed on to the spooky NBC show for a four-episode arc, according to MovieWeb. Her character Meghan Doyle will help Allison's husband Joe Dubois (Jake Weber) fund his new solar-powered invention. Unfortunately for Allison (played by Patricia Arquette), this new character could also be her competition.
Preston is no stranger to off-beat, scary projects. She's starred in several movies, including "From Dusk Till Dawn," "Death Sentence" and "Battlefield Earth" (which was produced by her husband John Travolta). She's probably best-known, though, for her role in Tom Cruise's "Jerry Maguire."
It's been a good season for "Medium" so far, probably due to the lack of original programming on other networks (i.e. competition) because of the writers strike. The Futon Critic reports the March 17 episode racked up an impressive 10.1 million viewers, the show's highest ratings since May 2006.
Kelly Preston begins her "Medium" guest stint April 14 at 10 p.m.--Chris Sardelli
Kelly Preston is one of the lousiest actresses in show business. She is 100% dull. Her new show is born to lose.
