Not enough serial killers, zombies or werewolves in your TV diet? Well, look no further than NBC's upcoming horror/suspense series called "Fear Itself."
In the tradition of other anthology series like "The Outer Limits" or "The Twilight Zone," the new 13-episode series will focus on stand-alone scary stories, according to MovieWeb. The series sure sounds scary, what with directors Darren Bousman ("Saw II") and John Landis ("An American Werewolf in London"), and writers Dan Knauf ("Supernatural") and Victor Salva ("Jeepers Creepers") already on board.
The network has already released some details about several of the plots. If deranged psychos are your thing, there's "Eater" which focuses on a rookie cop assigned to watch over a serial killer. Like zombies? Check out "New Year's Day," about a woman who wakes up to a world full of the pesky brain-eaters. Ever wondered what's wrong with your neighbors? Find out a possible explanation in "Community," about a neighborhood that really likes to enforce their rules. Also planned are stories about haunted houses, ghosts, doppelgangers, body-switching, monsters and werewolves.
Several actors have already signed on, including the new Superman Brandon Routh, "Star Trek: Enterprise" star John Billingsley and Cynthia Watros from "Lost."
NBC hasn't announced when the series will launch. --Chris Sardelli
