Christian Slater: Action Hero?

cslater.jpgChristian Slater isn't the box-office draw that he used to be. Sure, he's super-creepy and semi-bald in "He Was a Quiet Man." However, with so sign of "Heathers 2" in sight (thank god), the actor could be turning to our friend TV.

NBC is eyeing Slater for a new drama from Jason Smilovic ("Bionic Woman"), says the Hollywood Reporter. The show is being described as "The Bourne Identity meets Jekyll & Hyde" -- which means what exactly?

In laymen's terms (give my brain a break -- I watch a lot of TV!), Slater will play a dad who finds out that he has an alter ego that's a spy.

Of course, there's no official word, but we wouldn't mind seeing Slater kung-fu his way into homes each week. -- Rachel Cericola
