Fresh from her experiences dodging zombies in the movie "Grindhouse," actress Marley Shelton joins the cast of CBS' new sci-fi drama "Eleventh Hour."
As MovieWeb reports, "Hour" follows a government science advisor (played by Rufus Sewell) who performs search and rescue operations for people harmed by science experiments gone awry. The recently cast Shelton plays his tough bodyguard Rachel.
Marley Shelton is no stranger to off-kilter, sci-fi projects. She most recently played the character Dakota in Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's homage to B-movies, "Grindhouse." She's also appeared in the move "Sin City" and television series "Dark Shadows." Next up she switches gears to play a nun at an all-girls school in the movie "Our Lady of Victory."
Originally a British series, the new incarnation of "Eleventh Hour" is helmed by Jerry Bruckheimer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. --Chris Sardelli
