The Parents Television Council has launched a campaign against the TV show "Las Vegas."
The complaint, which was just filed with the FCC, says that last week's episode featured three shadowy naked women on a casino's security camera. Of course, they had no problem sharing the shot with everyone on the Internet (see below).
Considering the show was just cancelled, the campaign may seem like wasted resources. However, we are talking about the PTC here, people -- what else do they have to do?
"Las Vegas" airs in a 10:00 p.m. timeslot. However, the Hollywood Reporter says that the PTC noted that the show runs earlier in other time zones.
If they had filed the complaint a week before, the publicity could have possibly saved the show.
"This has little to do with the show and everything to do with a network that's trying to establish what the newest level of nudity is for broadcast television," says PTC President Tim Winter.
In other words, it's NBC's money they're after.
The questionable video is listed below. If you've been to the real Las Vegas, this is chicken feed. The PTC also recently called for an advertising boycott against CBS' running of the Showtime drama, "Dexter." -- Rachel Cericola
For the love of God. It's VEGAS.
It's a damn shame this show was canceled. A little streaking on a 10 p.m. show is just about the most innocuous thing ever, especially when it doesn't fit into the horror-porn that's tossed at us each week in CSI and its brethren.
The hypocrisy of these groups is unbelievable. Why can every network show display unbelievable amounts of violence -- including sexual violence -- yet the mere hint of "regular" sex gets the ultra-conservatives all frothy with anger?
It's pissing me off. I'd rather see a lighthearted show with naked people (like "Las Vegas") than yet another gory procedural.

I hope one of the other net work buys it out and then maybe you'll get james con back don't like tom shelleck
-- Posted by: evelyn at March 1, 2008 10:54 AMI'm so disappointed at hearing Las Vegas is cancelled. With the language that is being said on TV, a glimpse of blurry figures running for a diversion seems unfair. I hope this is picked up on another network. ABC is my favorite network but I'm going to reconsider my choice.
