Unlike many of the characters in James Patterson's books, "Women's Murder Club" will live to see another day.
MovieWeb reports that ABC has ordered an additional three episodes of the freshman crime show. Initially, the show's fate was up in the air as a result of the writers strike, but the network decided to extend its run. In addition to new episodes, the show also gains a new executive producer, Robert Nathan.
"Club" is based on the popular series of crime novels by author James Patterson. It stars Angie Harmon as Det. Lindsay Boxer who teams up with her friends to solve murders. Coincidentally, those friends include a medical examiner, district attorney and newspaper reporter.
Like many other primetime shows affected by the strike, "Women's Murder Club" has started up production and should start premiering new episodes this April. --Chris Sardelli
I'm so happy to hear that ABC has retained Woman's Murder Club. I was saddened to hear that they were going to cancel this show. Hope it will be more than 3 new episodes. Looking forward to seeing the women again.
