For those television viewers who missed the end of the world, you’ll be able to catch up when the Sci Fi Channel begins airing reruns of CBS’s “Jericho.”
According to MovieWeb, Sci Fi just scored the exclusive rights to air reruns from the nuclear thriller’s first and second seasons. The network signed a three-year deal, so fans will have plenty of time to find out how the apocalyptic drama unfolds. “Jericho” follows Skeet Ulrich as a prodigal son who returns to Jericho, Kansas just before a nuclear attack cuts the town off from the rest of the world.
What a strange trip it’s been for “Jericho.” After a highly successful start to its debut season, the CBS show fell in the ratings and was eventually cancelled. That is, until fervent fans deluged CBS HQ with boxes of peanuts (a reference to a line in the first season’s finale). Amazed by the fan support, CBS resurrected the show with plans for it to return this February.
Sci Fi will air a four-hour marathon from 7 to 11 p.m. on February 11, one day before CBS kicks off the show’s second season. –Chris Sardelli
