Dexter Will Air on CBS

dexter.jpgThe writers' strike is leaving audiences thirsty for new entertainment; CBS wants to give them blood.

The network will strip down and offer a network-friendly of Showtime's hit drama "Dexter."

Will the new and improved "Dexter" slay mainstream audiences? It's got to be better than "Celebrity Apprentice!"

Due to the show's content, it will automatically take the 10:00 p.m. timeslot; the show will air for 12 consecutive weeks, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The show stars "Six Feet Under" alum Michael C. Hall as a forensics expert who moonlights as a serial killer of serial killers.

"Dexter" will make its CBS premiere staring February 17 on CBS. -- Rachel Cericola
