"Crash" Series Lands on Starz

crash.jpgGet ready to see "Crash" in a whole new way, when the Starz network transforms the Best Picture winner into a television series this spring.

MovieWeb reports that cable channel Starz, which usually only ever airs movies, has teamed up with film production company Lionsgate to bring "Crash" to the small screen. With help from the co-writer/producer of the film, Paul Haggis, the network will air 13 one-hour episodes based on the edgy film. Several other people from the film will be involved, including Don Cheadle, who will produce.

The movie followed several separate but intertwined characters in Los Angeles, and dealt with themes of prejudice and race. It starred Sandra Bullock, Matt Dillon, Terrence Howard and Ludacris, among others. MovieWeb says there's no word yet on whether any of those actors will join the show. --Chris Sardelli
