"ER" Hits Episode 300

ER-300.jpgSince 1994, viewers have watched as a parade of doctors beginning with George Clooney and ending at John Stamos made their way through the fictional County General Hospital of "ER." This Thursday the show marks its 300th episode.

USA Today reports the show will celebrate its milestone with an episode called "300 Patients," which does in fact feature the doctors struggling to care for an overwhelming amount of patients. The landmark shows airs Thursday, December 6 at 10 p.m. on NBC.

Check out USA Today for a great interactive chart featuring all the doctors and nurses that have ever appeared on "ER." Just click on their picture and you can see how long each doctor practiced medicine on the show. The longest running characters include Noah Wyle's Dr. John Carter and Laura Innes' Dr. Kerry Weaver, who both clocked in at an amazing 12 years. The shortest tenures included Dr. Cleo Finch, played by actress Michael Michele, who checked into the ER for three years and Dr. Dave Malucci, played by Erik Palladino for just two seasons.

Despite the rotating cast of characters, some "ER" fans have stuck with the show for all fourteen seasons, while others left after the original crew checked out almost seven years ago. Discuss your favorite episodes and characters below! --Chris Sardelli
