NBC recently added three more actors to the cast of next year’s “Knight Rider” television movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bruce Davison, Wayne Kasserman and Greg Ellis will star alongside previously cast Justin Bruening in the sequel to the popular 80s action-adventure show. Bruening will star as Mike Tracer, son of David Hasselhoff’s character, who has never met his father. Davison, who has starred in everything from “Law & Order” to “Close to Home” to “Battlestar Galactica,” will play the creator of a 21st-century version of KITT, a car equipped with artificial intelligence.
Kasserman plays Tracer’s roommate/race car mechanic (convenient, huh?) and Ellis will play a bad guy. And as for the Hoff, while there’s no official word he’ll join the cast, it’s probably only inevitable for Michael Knight and KITT to reunite.
