Will K.I.T.T. take kindly to a new daddy? "All My Children" star Justin Bruening has been cast to lead NBC's comeback of "Knight Rider."
Naturally, no one can fill the Hoff's shoes, so Bruening will actually play Michael Knight's son. So far, David Hasselhoff is not scheduled to appear in the two-hour movie.
In case you don't remember, Hasselhoff also got his start in soaps, when that '80s talking car came a-calling.
If all goes well, "Knight Rider" could be added to NBC's schedule permanently -- probably as some type of must-see-retro-TV block with its current incarnation of "Bionic Woman."
