Looks like "Lipstick Jungle" will finally make it out of the wild.
NBC is planning to premiere the Brooke Shields dramedy on Thursday nights. It will take over the "ER" 10:00 p.m. (EST) timeslot once the hospital drama runs out of the original episodes, says the Hollywood Reporter.
"Lipstick Jungle" is based on the Candace Bushnell bestseller about sex and New York City. Sound familiar? Along with Shields, Kim Raver ("24") and Lindsay Price also star.
The launch date is part of the network's plan for the writers' strike. Typically, "ER" reruns do not do well in the ratings; hopefully viewers will be looking for fresh meat.
