With the news that freshman drama "Dirty Sexy Money" was just renewed for a full season, it almost seems as if ABC is strike-proof.
The drama, which revolves around the wealthy Darling family and their new personal lawyer, just received a full-season order from ABC. According to The Hollywood Reporter, not only is it the first new show picked up for a whole season by any network since the writers strike began, it's also the fourth new show on ABC to be renewed. It follows "Samantha Who?," "Pushing Daisies" and "Private Practice," which have all been picked up in recent weeks.
"Dirty Sexy Money" stars Donald Sutherland as Tripp Darling, head of a rich family whose lawyer dies under mysterious circumstances. The Darlings in turn hire his son (Peter Krause) as a replacement to manage the family's money, which unwillingly pulls him into their drama.
The show airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC. --Chris Sardelli
