Bounty Hunter in "Dog" House

Who let the dog out? A&E -- who has pulled Duane "Dog" Chapman's reality show until further notice.

Chapman, star of "Dog the Bounty Hunter," was recorded using racial slurs in a private phone conversation. The slurs were apparently directed at his son's girlfriend. The National Enquirer got their sweaty mitts on the tape, and posted it on the Internet.

Although the show has not been officially cancelled, A&E has pulled the program until further notice. "In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take 'Dog The Bounty Hunter' off the network's schedule for the foreseeable future," an A&E spokesman said.

Chapman is doing damage control, issuing apologies. However, two advertisers have pulled out as well.

According to Reuters, "Dog the Bounty Hunter" airs in 10 countries. -- Rachel Cericola

Shame on YOU, hurr. No one is taking his "business" away from him. He can still be a "good guy" and can continue to "do good". It's just that he won't be doing it on TV. This should be a message to all. Good on ya, A&E!

Wow. Look at the spin doctoring going on here already. All these excuses for blatant racism.

If you agree with such foolishness, then the plug needs to be pulled on your ass too.

I will watch the dog on what ever channel he is on.
To all of you that think the dog should be pulled off T.V. because of a word that is used by afroamerican every day and alot of rapper and R&B singer, your wrong. If that were the case we need to take alot of music out of the stores, & comics off the stage. Get over it!!!!

hey the way I see it is we have a first amendment, at least we use to and if I am right it was "Freedom of Speech" not that means anything any more. This was a private call and a person is entitled to thier own oppinion, right wrong or indiferent. as far as things go if a person is ofened by a word they should grow up, thier are alot of things going on life that are alot worse.

I ALWAYS LOVED WATCHING DOG AND HIS FAMILY, HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON THE CUTTING EDGE.THE THING THAT BOTHERS ME IS HE KEEPS SAYING HE USED THE "N" WORD AS A BROTHER THING.....AND WE KNOW THAT THE WAY HE WAS USING IT IN SPEAKING OF HIS SONS GIRLFRIEND WAS NOT BROTHERY...I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A WORD HE USES ALOT... AND HE MORE THAN LIKELY SAYS MORE THAN THAT ABOUT AFRICA AMERICAN PEOPLE ON A DAILY BASES.
I THINK ALL OF THE 'IM SO SORRYS' ARE BECAUSE HE WAS BUSTED...AND MAY LOOSE HIS CAREER.
