Shrek Celebrates the Holidays on ABC

”gingy.jpg"Just in time for Christmas, Shrek and Co. are stomping to a television near you. DreamWorks Animation and ABC are unveiling the grumpy ogre and his friends once again in the television special, “Shrek the Halls.”

The principal voice cast of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas will reprise their roles, according to The Futon Critic. The half-hour program will follow Shrek and his new family as they try to celebrate Christmas, while his friends Donkey and Puss In Boots try to crash the party.

This is not the first animated Christmas special ABC has aired. The network has rerun “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” for years.
