Gary Sinise Joins TV Elite

With a new raise and an extension of his contract, it looks like Gary Sinise will be solving crimes in New York for a few more years.

Sinise, who plays Detective Mac Taylor on CBS's spin-off "CSI:NY," just became the newest member of the ‘Hefty TV Salary" club this week after signing a more lucrative deal. As reported on Entertainment Weekly's website, the star will now pull in more than $200,000 per episode, making real crime scene investigators all over the country very, very jealous.

His new contract also ensures he will be around through the 2010-2011 television season. The show, which pulled in a very healthy 12.7 million viewers for its fourth-season premiere, also gives Sinise a producer credit.

Next up for contract renegotiation is his co-star Melina Kanakaredes, who stars as Detective Stella Bonasera.--Chris Sardelli

It's great news! I'm so happy I'll be able to see Gary on a regular basis at least until 2011! He deserves all the money if not more. I adore Him.
