Fox Looking for "Smarter" Celebrities

regis.jpgWhich celebrities are smarter than a 5th grader? While that list might seem short to some, five celebrities are actually matching their wits against the wee folk in upcoming all-star editions of Fox's "Are Your Smarter Than a 5th Grader?"

Clay Aiken and Regis Philbin will try to outsmart the kids in a 2-hour episode on November 1. Tony Hawk must get a gold star since he is the only one listed for November 8th's epsiode. Billy Bush and Kellie Pickler share the November 15 date.

All are competing for their favorite charities, so they can't be that dumb.

"Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" airs Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on Fox. -- Rachel Cericola

Did you notice that Nov 1st is a 2 hour episode where Nov 8th is only 1 hour?

Guess you're not smarter than a fifth grader either.

I'm afraid you're going to be eating crow after you actually see the episodes and who the highest winner of all the celebrities is.

Oh snap! Sorry about that and thanks for pointing it out.

As far as "eating crow," I am not sure how you took anything I said as an insult, but I'll be watching "30 Rock" and eating popcorn.

You made the assumption that Tony does better than any of the others because he has a full hour. I'm sure he does fine, but he doesn't do the best.

Any hints as to highest winner?

Tony Hawk, Regis Philbin and Clay Aiken each have an hour. Billy Bush & Kellie Pickler split their hour.

I don't know much about Tony Hawk, but both Regis & Clay are able to hold their own when it comes to keeping the chatter going. So in my estimation, any one of those three could have won the most--depends who was just gabbing to fill the time, and who was actually answering questions.

You can bet I'll be watching!

Everyone who attended the taping knows that Clay beat Regis,so why are they showing him with the money bag?

"Everyone who attended the taping knows that Clay beat Regis,so why are they showing him with the money bag?"

I suspect it's because Rachel doesn't know that it's no longer cool to diss Clay Aiken. It's so 2004!

Um... or it could be a stock photo.

Not sure where the Clay diss was. Never said he was a loser or dumb or whatever. I love when people dissect things to TRY to find something to be angry about.

Enjoy...

Regis stole that bag from Clay. I saw the whole thing on TMZ. Seriously. Go check it out. Brutal.

Don't worry, Rachel. You did not diss Clay at all - just got the time allotments wrong. Us Claymates can be a tad overly sensitive at times.
