DIY Reteams Burt & The Bandit

A Burt Reynolds comeback may be nothing new ("Boogie Nights," "The Longest Yard," those Maaco commercials), but the Bandit getting back with his Trans Am? That's something to get revved up about.

Apparently, the DIY network liked the idea too. They are teaming the two back up for "Celebrity Rides: Burt Builds a Bandit." Don't expect Burt to be the only one getting all up under the car's grille; he will have a team of experts to help restore the car.

Even cooler: You can actually win the car that Burt and his team builds. The only catch is that you'll have to submit a video saying why you deserve the car. Something tells me the man is not an easy sell.

Deadline for video submissions is November 30. The 5-episode series, "Celebrity Rides: Burt Builds a Bandit," will begin Friday, October 19 at 10:00 p.m. (EST) on the DIY Network. -- Rachel Cericola
