Crime scene investigators unite! Characters from "CSI" and "Without a Trace," two of CBS's most popular crime shows, will cross into each other's worlds for a sweeps month stunt.
The episode, titled "Who and What," begins with the "CSI" team discovering a body in Vegas who just may be a kidnapped boy who went missing in New York six years ago. That's where the FBI's Missing Persons Squad from "Without a Trace" comes in. Expect to see marquee stars William Peterson (who plays CSI Gil Grissom) and Anthony LaPaglia (FBI agent Jack Malone) make appearances on each other's shows, reports Entertainment News International.
The pairing makes sense, especially now that "Without a Trace" has moved back to its original Thursday timeslot at 10 p.m., which directly follows "CSI." According to The Futon Critic, "CSI" scored the top ratings spot last week with over 19 million viewers, which can only serve to boost ratings for "Trace" during the sweeps event.
Catch the crossover Thursday, November 1 at 9 p.m. on CBS. --Chris Sardelli
