It's official- anyone can become a television star. And I mean anyone. Chris Crocker, better known to the internet masses as that "crying guy" on YouTube who blasted critics for slamming Britney Spears, has signed a television production deal.
Variety reports Crocker first caught the eye of production company 44 Blue Prods a year ago. He signed the deal this week, only days after posting a teary rant on YouTube. The video shows the 19-year-old crying hysterically and cursing critics who scolded Spears on her lackluster performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. (Click here to check out the video, but be warned, the guy has a potty mouth.)
The plan, says 44 Blue co-founder Rasha Drachkovitch on Variety's website, is to create a "docusoap" revolving around Crocker's life. Based on his online videos (he's posted several on MySpace as well), he seems pretty dramatic. Plus, seeing as how his YouTube video has already generated eight million hits, he may be popular enough to bring in some television ratings.
No news yet on any networks interested in the possible show. --Chris Sardelli
