Cedric Gets a Sitcom

cedric.jpgABC has just named the next comedian to helm a family-style sitcom.

Cedric the Entertainer will star as a former breadwinner who needs to adjust to his wife's new business windfall.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Cedric wrote the script, along with Rock Reuben and Michael Soccio, who previously worked on "The King of Queens."

Cedric the Entertainer can be currently seen on the big screen in "Talk to Me." He also has four other film projects in the works, including a remake of the Rodney Dangerfield classic, “Back to School.” -- Rachel Cericola
