VH1 Asks America to Get "Ugly"

betty.jpgThings are about to get ugly over at VH1 -- and I'm not talking about "Charm School 2" (although I am guessing that might be in the works).

The former music network is developing a new reality show called "America the Ugly." Inspired by ABC's hit "Ugly Betty," they plan to take a bunch of unattractive girls and throw them into the fashion and modeling industries.

With such a premise, I'm guessing we won't see much beauty inside or out -- that just doesn't make for good reality TV!

Trump Model Management's Becky Southwick ("The Agency") will be on hand to guide the girls, says Reality TV World.

"America the Ugly" will air Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. (EST) on VH1. -- Rachel Cericola

Wasn't there a show like this before? Doesn't Tyra Banks do something like this?
